We got our gym membership through yesterday.
I’ve just got out of a very hot tub filled with a lot of Epsom Salts. I think it’s going to be a long and unpleasant road ahead.
Friday, and Lara too was enjoying her gym this evening – gymnastics, that is, not mindless rowing machine and ‘cardio workout’ nonsense like me. They go off to another hall for the trampolining bit, and came back whooping and screaming like apaches. I love that hall, actually. They do the circus training there, too, and it’s mesmerising to see them swinging on the trapeze, juggling and unicycling. I always wish they’d let me have a go but I know I’m really very glad they don’t. “Plummeting Mum Damages Gym Floor.” And there would be Lara, like the time I got my finger bitten by the cockatoo (gosh that really still hurts, you should see the mess it’s made of my nail), shaking her head and saying ‘but didn’t you read the sign, Mummy, “don’t use the equipment without supervision?”

but you'll have to go to the end of the album for the latest pics!

I have just added a throat spray for you to my voluminous medicine bag and I shall also put small bottle of light sleeping potion for the Pf in the hope he gets a good night now and then.
ReplyDeleteI have read a ‘Down river’ and a ‘Secret River’ but not heard of a Sacred one. Just got 13 volumes from Amazon of the latest Man Booker prize, they should keep me quiet for a while, but after them I shall try for the ones your visitor suggested.
Glad the Non enjoys the Gym, mind she does not run off with the circus.
See you very, very soon now. Love
