Lickerty split today, hope you're all well and enjoying the easter stuff - we've had a good day but it's all slightly tiring so bed beckons. We'd just decided to take today easy and not do anything when Ian picked up a message from his friend at work asking us to a barbecue at their place - for tonight. Ah. Now this was the same one that had asked us before and entertained us royally, and we were really aiming to invite them over this time so we decided to ask if they would like to come over instead.... which, not having prepared for it and it being Good Friday and absolutley nothing being open was a bit tricky but we managed. Went to the beach in the morning, pretty nippy but the Non and Daddy had a good dip (I stood on the shore and froze), then back and footled around after lunch pretty much until they arrived. All very pleasant but the kids get tired and start acting up so it all broke up by 8:30 - which really due to our tired state as well was probably just as well. I guess we started at 5 so it's all relative. Anyway, hopefully tomorrow we'll get a good lie-in.
Hence, not a particularly inspiring post but there we are, not dead in a ditch by a long shot but slightly in need of bed, that's all. God help us we're invited over at 8 a.m. to Lucy's house on easter day for breakfast.... I wonder if it's acceptable to go in pyjamas. Dressing gowns. Whatever.
